About

I’ve spent many years as a member of the Teacher Training faculty at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York. Currently, I’m director of Teacher Education at Santosha Yoga Studio in Madison, New Jersey, where I conduct monthly classes for dedicated Iyengar Yoga students who are interested in teaching, as well as continuing education classes for those who are already certified in our method.

Approach

In my teacher education classes, I strive to create a positive learning environment where aspiring and established teachers alike can grow and learn in a supportive space.

My aim is to bring a wide perspective to my position as an educator of teachers. Since 2002, I’ve been assessed six times by the Iyengar Yoga Association of the United States (IYNAUS), earning certification from the Introductory to the Intermediate Senior levels. For several years, I’ve served as an assessor for IYNAUS, and I’m also a member of the IYNAUS Assessment Committee. These different roles and experiences have given me a sense of the process from all sides, helping me to support my students in an intelligent way as they study the art of teaching.
